Canary Wharf: Level 39
On the 19th March 2013 Boris Johnson opened the new level at Canary Wharf, ‘Level 39’. Level 39 takes up the entire 39th floor of Canary Wharf’s, One Canada Square building and signals a new direction for the area which draws upon the existing skills and talents from the financial sector and brings them together with start-up tech and new media companies
The first round of companies based at Level 39 are a clear sign of its future ambitions. These are businesses that focus on rapid growth but have different needs compared to the more social and mobile app focused startups in and around Shoreditch.
Kinetica Museum was commissioned to install a number of works into this new part of Canary Wharf / Tech City. The works included:
